Prepare wiring harness






1 Detach branch-off line for power supply (1) with 3-pin black, coupling housing (4) for CD player with changer (in glove box) (A2/6) from wiring harness (3).
The remaining wiring harness (3) is no longer required.

2 Remove adhesive tape (2).
3 Check assignment of 3-pin, black coupling housing (4) at power supply branch-off line (1).
Specified assignment:
Contact cavity 1: red/pink line (rt/rs) or red/black line (rt/sw)
Contact cavity 2: brown line (br)
Contact cavity 3: blue/black wake-up line (bl/sw)






4 Wrap felt tape (8) around power supply branch off line (1).






5 Strip brown line (br) and red/pink line (rt/ rs) at the power supply branch-off line (1).
6 Strip insulation of vehicle's radio wiring harness (6) approx. 50 mm as from black 44-pin coupling for radio (10).
7 Cut brown line (br) of the on-board vehicle radio wiring harness (6).
8 Strip both ends of the brown line (br) of vehicle's radio wiring harness (6) and connect to brown line (br) of power supply branch-off line (1) using a solder connector (5).
Heat gun

The solder connectors (5) are available in the wiring harness repair kit.

9 Separate red/blue line (rt/bl) from on-board vehicle radio wiring harness (6).
10 Strip both ends of the red/blue line (rt/bl) of the on-board vehicle radio wiring harness (6) and connect to red/pink line (rt/ rs) of power supply branch-off line (1) using a solder connector (5).

The solder connectors (5) are available in the wiring harness repair kit.






11.1 Connect blue/black wake-up line (bl/sw) from power supply branch-off line (1) with blue/black wake-up line (bl/sw) of on-board vehicle radio wiring harness (6) with potential distributor (7).
The potential distributor (7) is available in the wiring harness repair kit.
Vehicles with blue/black wake-up line (bl/sw) in contact cavity 16 of the black, 44-pin radio coupling (10).






11.2 Strip blue/black wake-up line (bl/sw) of power supply branch-off line (1) and attach MCP 2.8 contact (8) to blue/black line (bl/sw).
Take MCP 2.8 contact (8) from the wiring harness repair set.
For vehicles without blue/black wake-up line (bl/sw) in contact cavity 16 of black, 44-pin radio coupling (10).






For vehicles without blue/black wake-up line (bl/sw) in contact cavity 16 of black, 44-pin radio coupling (10).

12 Press lock (9) using extraction hook in direction of the arrow and out of 44-pin radio coupling (10).
13 Install blue/black wake-up line (bl/sw) using MCP 2.8 contact into contact cavity 16 of black, 44-pin radio coupling (10).
The blue/black wake-up line (bl/sw) muss audibly engage.

14 Install lock (9) into black, 44-pin radio coupling (10).






15 Break out perforation in glove box (arrow) using suitable tool.






16 Route 3-pin, black coupling housing (4) of power supply branch-off line (1) behind carrier for instrument panel and through the duct into the glove box.
