Function prerequisites:

The switched (E13/2) glove compartment illumination is switched on whenever the glove compartment is opened. The illumination is switched off when the glove compartment is closed or automatically 15 minutes after the Control Area Network bus class B (interior) (CAN-B) was deactivated. If the switched (E13/2) glove compartment illumination is automatically switched off due to deactivation of the CAN-B, it is switched on again only after the CAN-B is reactivated, such as by opening a door.

This function is independent of the rain/light sensor (B38/2) and the status of the door contact switch (doors open or closed).
