- with CODE (359) TELE AID emergency call system
- TELE AID Telediagnosis
In the event of a service call (MB-Info or roadside assistance calls), all telephone connections currently active are interrupted. The emergency call system control unit (N123/4) sends an SMS to the nearest service call center and then always establishes a telephone connection to the service center.
Normally, the telephone connections are established via the telephone antenna (A2/22). If the standard telephone antenna should happen to malfunction (A2/22), such as due to the a vehicle rollover, there is also a TELE AID backup antenna located in the area of the rear shelf (A2/50). The emergency call system control unit (N123/4) detects the failure of the telephone antenna and then automatically actuates the TELE AID backup antenna (A2/50).
