Penetration of Water into the Vario (Hardtop) Roof





Note:
Simulate a rain test using a shower head with a steady stream of water. The test is to be performed from any of 14 different positions (Figure 1) depending on the area that is affected.





Sprinkler Setup - Position 7 (Figure 2)

Perform rain test with spray head. Duration of leakage and rain test mm. 15 minutes.

Warning!
Use a suitable tool to secure the Vario roof when replacing new seals. Risk of injury with trapped or crushed fingers exists when working on partially open Vario roof (stop mode) or when the roof is positioned in its closing radius as that can cause the Vario roofs sudden collapse.
