VII. Noises in C-pillar pivot point area (up to 054902)

Cause:





Screw of intermediate bearing (A-Figure 9).

Procedure:

Install new screw for intermediate bearing (A-Figure 9).

Rattling/creaking noises or knocking in area of pivot point of C-pillar.

1. Move Vario roof into intermediate position and secure.

Caution!
To help avoid possible personal injury or vehicle damage, secure roof according to WIS document AR77.50-P-3000-01R.

2. Replace screw (A-Figure 9).

Before removing the screw, hold the C-Pillar in assembly position.

3. Remove support tool (W230 589 04 63 00) according to WIS document AR77.50-P-3000-01R.
