VI. Water Leak In Area of Joint of Inner Vario Roof and C-Pillar

VI. Penetration by water into area of paneling joint for inside of Vario roof and C-pillar

Cause:

Seal to upper C-pillar leaky.

Procedure:

Seal C-pillar seal.

1. Perform rain test.





2. Move Vario roof to intermediate position and secure (See WIS-document AR77.50-P-3000-01R).

Use Special Tool "Support".

3. Mask upper C-pillar.





4. Spray below outer C-pillar seal (area A-B-Figure 16).

Do not loosen glue and remove sealant running out. Use sealant gun and window sealant for dabbing.

5. Perform leakage test.

If leakage still exists:

Replace seal on outer upper section of C-pillar for Vario roof (See WIS-document AR77.50-P-6766R).
