Noises from Vario (Hardtop) Roof
This bulletin is intended to contribute in finding an effective problem solution to the complex topic of customer reports about "noise":
I. Noises at seals of Vario (Hardtop) Roof when driving
II. Noises in rear window stop area on C-pillar
III. Noises in area of eccentric lock on C-pillar
IV. Noises in rear window stop buffer area
V. Noises in rear power window retaining plate area
VI. Crackling noise in area around mount for front lock Vario (Hardtop) roof while driving
VII. Noises in C-pillar pivot point area (up to VIN number 054902)
VIII. Noises in area of front lock of Vario (Hardtop) Roof when locking (up to VIN number 001452)
IX. Noises in area where lock covers meets main guide (up to VIN number 047857)

Use a suitable tool to secure the Vario roof. Risk of injury with fingers becoming trapped or crushed exists when working on partially open Vario roof (stop mode) or when the roof is positioned in its closing radius as that can cause the Vario roofs sudden collapse.
