GF88.50-P-4040RIT AMG Drive Unit Control Unit, Component Description
GF88.50-P-4040RIT AMG DRIVE UNIT Control Unit, Component Description
- with CODE (P99) Special model "AMG Black Series"
Component Identification:
Location
The AMG DRIVE UNIT control is located on the right in the spare tire well.
Task
The AMG DRIVE UNIT control has the following purposes:
^ Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals
^ Evaluation of input factors
^ Actuation of components
^ Transmitting signals
Reading in of sensors, pickups and signals
The input factors are read in with the following connections:
^ Direct line
^ Interior CAN (CAN B)
Direct line
The following components are read in via a direct line:
- Left upper position sensor (B87/1)
- Right upper position sensor (B87/2)
- Left bottom position sensor (B87/3)
- Bottom right position sensor (B87/4)
- Rear wing button (S16/14s2)
Interior CAN
The AMG DRIVE UNIT control reads in the following information via the interior CAN:
- Status of c. 15 by EIS control unit (N73)
- Vehicle speed from instrument cluster (A1)
- Status of lock pawl rotary tumbler switch (S88/4) by rear SAM control unit (N10/8)
- Central gateway control unit (N93) transmission mode status
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the affected components are then actuated.
Actuation of components
The actuation of the components takes place via the following connections:
^ Direct line
^ Interior CAN
Direct line
The following components are actuated via a direct line:
- Rear wing lifting relay (K112k1)
- Rear wing lowering relay (K112k2)
- Rear wing status LED (S16/14e1)
- Function illumination for manual standard (M1)/manual Sport (M2) (S16/14s1) transmission button
The ETC [EGS] control unit (N15/3) transmits the transmission mode status via the engine compartment CAN (CAN C). The central gateway control unit transmits the status to the AMG DRIVE UNIT control via the interior CAN. If transmission mode "M" is sent, the AMG DRIVE UNIT control switches the function output to U = 12 V and the brightness-dependent function illumination of the manual standard (M1)/manual Sport (M2) transmission button in the right center console button group (S16/14). The two red LEDs are switched M1/M2 by the lower control panel control unit (N72).
Interior CAN
The following signals are transmitted by the AMG DRIVE UNIT control via the interior CAN:
- Status of rear wing to instrument cluster
- Status "Soft top closed"
In addition to the rear wing function the AMG DRIVE UNIT control serves to simulate the RVC [UVS] control unit (N52) without code (P99) Special model "AMG Black Series") by transmitting the signal "Soft top closed". The message is transmitted cyclically every t= 100 ms.
