GF80.50-P-4105-01R ATA Anti-Towing Sensor, Function
The electrodes in the ATA inclination sensor (B33) are immersed partially in an electrolyte (electrically conductive fluid). The sensor recognizes a change in the inclination of the vehicle by a change in the conductive value between the electrodes.
When the vehicle is parked, the value for the vehicle position is stored.
If the vehicle is moved for over a certain threshold time by more than a certain inclination in the longitudinal and/or lateral direction with the antitheft alarm
(ATA) activated, the ATA inclination sensor (B33) sends a signal to the (N10/8) rear SAM control module which relays the message to the driver SAM control module SAM (N10/10) via the passenger compartment CAN bus. This module evaluates the signal and triggers the alarm.
