Air Injection Pump: Service and Repair

Remove/Install Air Pump

Illustrated On Model 211.076:

Remove, Install

DANGER:
- A vehicle that slips or tilts while raised on a hydraulic pillar hoist can fall and cause injury or death.
- Align vehicle between the four pillars of the hoist and position the four support plates at the hoist mounting points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

1 Take off left front wheel
2 Remove left fender liner
3 Unplug connector of electrical connection (5) from air pump (1)
4 Unbolt air pump (1) from bracket (3) together with air pump mount (2)

NOTE: Unscrew nuts (4) from threaded bolts for this purpose.

- Bolt of air pump at bracket = 7.6 Nm

5 Lift out air pump (1)
6 Detach hose for air injection at hose connection from air pump (1)
7 Take air pump (1) off air pump mount (2)

NOTE:
- Installation: Inspect rubber bearing bushes for damage.
- For this purpose. Unscrew torx bolts at air pump (1)

- Nut of air pump bracket at body = 4 Nm

8 Install in the reverse order
