US Service 14 - Every 20,000 Miles or 2 Years



US Service 14
First at 20,000 mi or 1 year; after first every 20,000 mi or 2 years

Engine Compartment
Leakage - Major components: Check for chafe marks, line routing, damaged components. In the event of leakage, determine cause and perform repairs with separate work order.
- Check condition of poly-V-belt.
- Check catch, safety catch and hinges of engine hood for proper operation.
- Check auxiliary battery condition using "Midtronics MCR 717" Tester.

Check the following fluid levels, correct if necessary. If there is a loss of fluid, determine cause and perform repair with separate work order.
- Brake system
- Power steering
- Windshield washer system (incl. summer/winter cleanser)

Wheels, brakes
- Inspect tires for damage and splits, measure tread depth and record in mm
- Check condition/thickness of brake pads/discs front/rear
- Correct tire inflation pressure

Interior
- Reset service indicator in instrument cluster

Function test
- Check parking brake (function test only)
- Warning/indicator lamps, illumination and interior lighting
- Windshield wipers, windshield washer system, headlamp cleaning system, where applicable: rear window wiper, rear window washer system
- Check seat belts and buckles for signs of external damage and function
- Check Sensotronic Brake Control (SBC) hydraulic unit

Underside of vehicle
Leakage - Major components: Check for chafe marks, line routing, damaged components. In the event of leakage, determine cause and perform repairs with separate work order.
- Check front axle joints for play, check rubber boots
- Inspect condition of flexible discs
- Inspect play of tie rod and drag link joints, inspect rubber boots

Trunk
- Check main battery condition using "Midtronics MCR 717" Tester.
- Correct spare tire inflation pressure (if applicable)

Vehicle front/rear
- Check wiper blade condition
