Lighting - Fog Lamp Screen Cap Loose

Model 211.026/065/070/076/082/083/265/282/283 up to A661031 and X170277 Front Fog Lamp Beam Screen Cap Loose





If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the beam screen cap (Figure 1, 3) over the end of the fog lamp bulb coming loose, do not replace the fog lamp. This cap may come loose due to insufficient tension holding the cap in place at the time of manufacture.

To resolve, perform the below procedure.

1. Remove front fog lamp. Refer to WIS document no. AR82.10-P-1835T.





2. Remove the 3 retaining clips (Figure 2, 1).





3. Remove the lens (Figure 3, 2).





4. Bend the tabs for the beam screen cap (Figure 4) slightly outward.

Note:
Do not bend the tabs too far to avoid breaking the tabs.





5. Reinstall the beam screen cap (Figure 5, 3) so that it clicks in place.

6. If dirty, clean reflector with a soft cloth.





7. Secure lens with the 3 retaining clamps (Figure 6, 1).

8. Reinstall front fog lamp. Refer to WIS document no. AR82.10-P-1835T.

Note:
The following allowable labor operations should be used when submitting a warranty claim for this repair.





In Case of Warranty, use the table.
