AR54.10-P-0007T Remove/Install Auxiliary Battery

DANGER:
- Risk of explosion from hydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury to eyes and skin suffering caustic burns from battery electrolyte or from contact with damaged lead acid batteries.
- No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.
- Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.


1 Disconnect ground cable of battery
2 Open engine hood and raise to vertical position
3.1 Remove housing (1) from combination filter.
3.2 Remove housing (1) from dust filter.
4 Open negative terminal cover (2) of auxiliary battery (G1/1).
5 Unscrew bolt (4) and remove ground lead of auxiliary battery (G1/1).
6 Open positive pole cover (3) of auxiliary battery (G1/1), unscrew bolt 4) and remove positive line of auxiliary battery (G1/1)
7 Unscrew nut (5) and fold mount (6) upwards.
8 Remove the auxiliary battery (G1/1).
9 Install in the reverse order
