Current Fault Code "Specified Configuration of Control Module BCM Does Not Correspond to Actual Conditions"

If you receive encounter in the above model vehicles a current fault code labeled, "Specified configuration of control module BCM does not correspond to actual conditions", appearing after completing a STAR Diagnosis Quick Test, the following repair should be followed. There is an incorrect coding of specified configuration in System Diagnosis control unit on vehicles from production period 02/2006 to 03/2006.

Adapt coding in System Diagnosis control unit by navigating to the following menus using STAR Diagnosis:

1. Control units --> Body --> System diagnosis

2. Select "Control unit adaptations" --> Read and, if necessary, change coding" --> Specified configuration of interior CAN bus"

3. Begin coding by pressing "F5" and confirm question "Transfer coding to control unit?" with "Yes" (button "F3")

Note:
Do not change coding of individual control units. During automatic coding the BCM is coded to "Available" and fault in "Specified-actual configuration of interior CAN bus" no longer exists.
