GF07.16-P-3015IC CDI Overheating Protection, Function

Component Identification:

The task of overheating protection is to prevent engine damage caused by thermal overloading.

If the coolant temperature and/or the charge air temperature is too high, the injection quantity is reduced by the CDI control unit according to a performance map.

The following information is processed in the CDI control unit for this purpose:
^ Charge air temperature
^ Charge air pressure
^ Coolant temperature
^ Engine speed
^ Vehicle speed

If the signal from the coolant temperature sensor is missing, the oil temperature signal from the oil sensor is used (for emergency mode).
