GF82.10-P-3001T Position Lamp Control, Function

Component Identification:

Function sequence
The driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) discretely reads in the position of the rotary light switch (S1) and relays the corresponding message for parking lamp on left or right to the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay or right module (N10/2) via CAN class B.

Function of left parking lamp On
The driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) actuates the left standing lamp and parking lamp (E1e3) in the left front lamp unit (E1) and transmits simultaneously via CAN class B "left parking lamp On".
Then via the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) the outer left taillamp, parking lamp, rear fog lamp (E3e2) (model 211.0) or the left stop lamp, taillamp and parking lamp (E3e9) (model 211.2) at the rear is actuated.

Function of right parking lamp On
The passenger-side SAM control unit (N10/11) and the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) receives the signal "right parking lamp On" from the driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) via CAN class B. The right standing and parking lamp (E2e3) in the right front lamp unit (E2) and the outer right taillamp, parking lamp, rear fog lamp (E4e2) (model 211.0) or the right stop lamp, taillamp and parking lamp (E4e9) (model 211.2) at the rear are thus actuated.

For vehicles with code (550) Trailer hitch, the signal "left parking lamp On" or "right parking lamp On" is transmitted from the driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) to the trailer connection unit [AAG] control unit (N28/1), which applies the signal "left parking lamp On" or "right parking lamp On" to the trailer hitch socket (13-pin) (X58).
