AR82.10-P-1201T Remove/Install Bulbs of Headlamp Unit
- Low beam bulb
- with CODE (614) Bi-Xenon headlamp
- with CODE (615) Bi-Xenon headlamp unit with integrated cornering lamps







DANGER:
- Danger from Xenon headlamp high voltage
- Do not touch parts which conduct high voltages. Persons with active electronic implants (e.g.heart pacemakers) should never work on xenon headlamps.


1 Disconnect ground cable of battery
2 Remove cover (5) on xenon headlamp
3 Rotate and remove Xenon headlamp ignition module (E1n2, E2n2) on Xenon headlamp

NOTE: Do not break off latching lugs. Electrical connector (4) is automatically unplugged.

4 Turn and remove retaining collar (2)

NOTE: Do not break off latching lugs.

5 Remove gas discharge lamp (1)

NOTE: Do not touch the gas discharge lamp (1) with your bare fingers but use a grease-free, soft cloth

6 Check power supply contact points for corrosion

NOTE: If necessary, replace corroded part.

7 Insert gas discharge lamp(1) into Xenon headlamp and hold in place
- Ensure that they are installed in the correct position (notch).

NOTE: Do not touch the gas discharge lamp (1) with your bare fingers but use a grease-free, soft cloth

8 Put on retaining collar (2) and rotate

NOTE: Note inscription "Top" on the retaining collar (2).

9 Mount Xenon headlamp ignition module (E1n2, E2n2) and rotate

NOTE: Installation position must be noted.

10 Connect electrical connector (4)
11 Fit cover (5) to Xenon headlamp

NOTE: Check seal in cover (5) for signs of damage and wear, if necessary fit a new seal to the cover (5).

12 Reconnect ground lead to battery
13 Carry out function check
