COMAND Head Unit: Does Not Power ON, Resetting, Display Is OFF While Audio Is

Playing, Display Flickers With Part Number A211 820 23 97

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the below conditions with COMAND head unit part no. A211 820 23 97, the head unit must be replaced with part number A211 820 27 97 or A211 820 27 97 80. Refer to WIS Document AR 82.85-P-10001X for Model 219 and AR 82.85-P-10001 for Model 211.

Conditions

^ Head unit does not power ON

^ Head unit resets or the display is OFF while the audio is still playing in the background

^ Display flickers or switches ON and OFF

Note:
Head Unit can be replaced only if it exhibits any of the symptoms above.
