1 Remove cover (14) of left fuse box.

Check the rubber seal in the cover. Cover must be located in the groove at the rear.

2 Detach the coupling (1) at CDI control unit (N3/9) and plug (2, 3) on driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).
3 Remove the rubber seal (4) and loosen the engine wiring harness (5) from the bracket (6) at the partition wall
4 Disconnect plug (7) at glow output stage (N14/2) and unplug refrigerant compressor connector (A9x1) at refrigerant compressor (A9).
5 Detach electric lines running through the cylinder head.

Engine 647:
Pull out the plugs at the quantity control valve (Y94), fuel temperature sensor (B50), charge air temperature sensor (B17/8), and plug (9) at the crankcase ventilation system, plug (10) at the generator (G2) and plug (11) on right of boost pressure regulator (Y100/1).

Engine 648:
Disconnect plugs at the quantity control valve (Y94), fuel temperature sensor (B50), charge air temperature sensor (B17/8), coolant temperature sensor (B11/4), and plug (9) at crankcase ventilation system, plug (10) at generator (G2) and plug (11) at right boost pressure regulator (Y100/1).

6 Detach electric cables running along charge air distribution tube (13).

Engine 647:
Detach electrical line at starter (M1). Disconnect plugs at oil sensor (oil level, temperature and quality) (B40), crankshaft position sensor (L5), intake port shutoff motor (M55) and charge air pressure sensor (B28/8).

Engine 648:
Detach electrical line at starter (M1). Disconnect plugs at oil sensor (oil level, temperature and quality) (B40), crankshaft position sensor (L5), left exhaust gas recirculation positioner (Y27/9) and charge air pressure sensor (B28/8).
