Noises Associated with Sensotronic Brake Control (SBC) System

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of noise complaints associated with the Sensotronic Brake Control (SBC) system, please reference the DTBs shown for an appropriate repair solution. Do not replace the SBC hydraulic unit in any cases of noise complaints. The installation of a new SBC unit will not change the frequency or the intensity of the noise. The SBC system utilizes an electric motor to generate the hydraulic pressure used for braking, and during this process, a certain level of intermittent noise may be present. This noise is inherent to the design of the SBC system, and does not warrant the replacement of the hydraulic unit.
