GF82.85-P-3004T Data Exchange Between The Operating Unit And Instrument Cluster, Function
- with CODE (525) MB Audio 50 APS radio
Operation of the radio control panel and navigation unit (A2/56) via the multifunction steering wheel
With the aid of the left multifunction steering wheel button group (S110), the right multifunction steering wheel button group (S111) and the multifunction display (A1p13) of the instrument cluster (A1), the following systems that are controlled via the MOST can be operated and system information can be displayed: These include:
^ Audio systems (radio, CD changer, etc.)
^ Navigation system
^ Telecommunication system
All the data is exchanged between the instrument cluster (A1) and operating unit via the MOST and the CAN interior (CAN-B).
All the button operations at the multifunction steering wheel are read in voltage-coded by the steering column module (N80) and supplied on the CAN interior (CAN-B).
The instrument cluster (A1) detects the coded messages and initiates, via the multifunction display (A1p13), the presentation of the system which is just active or operated (audio, navigation, telephone).
In parallel with this, the audio gateway control module (N93/1) picks up the commands for controlling the functions within the MOST, converts these into light pulses and with them actuates the necessary system components.
The instrument cluster (A1) receives the current time from the radio control panel and navigation unit (A2/56), since it is automatically received via GPS and thus does not have to be adjusted.
