Test 1.1: Check internal resistance of component L5 (Crankshaft position sensor).

Test sequence

- Switch off ignition.
- Connect 126-pole socket box at engine wiring harness.
- A4Observe oscilloscope pattern between sockets (1.88) 88 and (1.87) 87 of the 126-pole socket box testerA7
- Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS with special tool.
- Start measuring system.
Specified value:

- Resistance at 20° C coolant temperature
- [612...1255]ohms

- In the event of stored faults with a high fault frequency count or in the event of customer complaints, check lines and connectors for loose contact and corrosion..

- Test cable from control module N3/9 (CDI control unit) (socket 1, pin 88) to component L5 (Crankshaft position sensor) (pin 2) for Open circuit.
- Test cable from control module N3/9 (CDI control unit) (socket 1, pin 87) to component L5 (Crankshaft position sensor) (pin 1) for Open circuit.
- Replace component L5 (Crankshaft position sensor).
