AR82.30-P-6800M Remove/Install Wiper Motor

Illustrated On Model 220:

Removing

DANGER:
- Injury hazard Windshield wiper mechanism can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases, even sever extremities.
- Always remote ignition key when working on windshield wiper mechanism.

1 Open engine hood, raise to vertical position
2 Remove wiper system
3 Unscrew nut (1) from wiper motor shaft
4 Press crank arm (2) off with wiper linkage
5 Unclip connector on bracket (4)
6 Unscrew screws on wiper motor (3)
7 Remove wiper motor (M6/1)

Installing
8 Move wiper motor (M6/1) to parking position
9 Insert wiper motor (M6/1)
10 Screw in screws in wiper motor (3)
- Screw on wiper motor mounting: 9 Nm
11 Clip connector on bracket (4)
12 Align crank arm (2) to upper rib of wiper motor mount at angle (A)
- Dimension: Angle "A" between crank arm and rib: 74 degrees

13 Rotate nut on wiper motor shaft (1)
- Nut on wiper motor shaft: 19 Nm

14 Install wiper system
15 Close engine hood
16 Check windshield wiper for proper functioning.
