AR42.40-P-0820I Remove/Install Left or Right Rear Axle Speed Sensor

Shown On Model 220:

Removal
1. Unscrew fixing bolt (6a) retaining rear left and/or right wheel speed sensors
2. Remove rear left and right wheel speed sensors.(L6/3, L6/4)
3. Pull rubber grommet (3) over wheel speed sensor connectors (L6/3x1, L6/4x1)
- In addition, unscrew nuts (1) and remove cover (2) on left rubber grommet (3) over wheel speed sensor connector (L6/3xl, L6/4x1)
4. Disconnect wheel speed sensor connector (L6/3x1,L6/4x1) Installation: Pay attention to correct (L6/3xl,L6/4xl) routing of components.

Installation
5. Install in reverse order, noting the following:
- Tighten self-locking bolt, rear axle wheel speed sensor to: 8 Nm
- Pay attention to correct) routing of components.
- Replace bolts (6a)
- Lightly lubricate bore in wheel carrier.
- Check wheel hub rotor for damage.
- Pay attention to cleanliness of magnetic tip.
- Secure cables for wheel speed sensors in retaining clips on the tie rod and ensure that they are not damaged when the vehicle suspension moves towards bump and rebound.
