Passenger Head Restraint Moves Sporadically

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the passenger seat head restraint sporadically moving by itself, this may be caused by a software discrepancy between the seat control unit and the weight sensing seat. To resolve, disable the Not occupied position of passenger head restraint coding via Star Diagnosis menu path: Control units --> Seats and doors --> ESA passenger-Electric seat adjustment front passenger (with memory) --> "Diagnosis as per factory specifications".

Note:
The menu "Diagnosis as per factory specifications" is protected by a password. The password can be obtained via the TAC Hotline. A quick test will be needed to obtain a password. Enter the password via Star Diagnosis menu path, as shown above.

Note:
The following allowable labor operations should be used when submitting a warranty claim for this repair. This information has been generated on March 26, 2008. Please refer to Netstar --> Star TekInfo --> Star Time for the most current labor time allowance.
