Air Conditioning Coolant Temperature Sensor, Function

GF83.40-P-2125-01P Air Conditioning Coolant Temperature Sensor, Function
- with CODE (580) Air conditioning or Tempmatic for USA
- with CODE (580) Automatic air conditioning
- with CODE (581) Automatic air conditioning
- with CODE (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning

The coolant temperature sensor (B11/4) records the temperature of the coolant and passes on the value determined via the EIS [EZS] control unit (N73) and Controller Area Network bus class B (interior) (CAN-B) to the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22) or to the comfort AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22/7) (for model 203).
At a coolant temperature of 117 to 127 °C the output of the refrigerant compressor (A9) is reduced linearly.

At temperatures above 127 °C the refrigerant compressor (A9) is shut off by the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22) or comfort AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22/7) (in model 203) via CAN-B and front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) (in model 203) or the driver SAM control unit (in model 230). The coolant temperature sensor (B11/4) operates in a value range between -40 and +214 °C.
