Quarter Window Glass: Adjustments

AR67.30-P-4200R Adjust Rear Side Windows












Setting

DANGER:
- Risk of injury. Mechanism can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases even sever extremities.
- No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating range of the mechanism when moving components.

NOTE: Vario roof closed

1 Check crank window adjustment on driver's door

NOTE: If necessary correct adjustment.

2 Remove right side trim panel in rear
3 Remove paneling from upper center pillar
4 Close Vario roof fully with the Vario roof switch

NOTE: See Operating instructions

5 Screw height stops up (2)

NOTE: Do not screw height stops up too high, otherwise caps (3) could fall down.

6 Loosen screws (4) for rear side window from electric window lift mechanism
7 Adjust installation depth (dimension A) by moving rear side window in window mount (5) on electric window lift mechanism (6)

NOTE: Check installation depth (dimension A) over entire length of rear side window. Mark position of sealing lip bottom edge of seal (7) with wax pin or similar over entire length.

8 Tighten screws (4) for rear side window on electric window lift mechanism
9 Close front crank window (8) and rear side window (1)
10 Loosen counternut (9)
11 Adjust offset between front crank window and rear side window (arrows A) by turning adjustment screws (10)

NOTE:
- Always adjust window inclination with both adjustment screws. The offset is adjusted by changing the window inclination
- Windows should be positioned parallel to one another.

12 Tighten counternut (9) for electric window lift mechanism mount in center pillar
13 Install assembly wedge (11) between striker eye (12) and door contact switch and close window completely
14 Screw height stops (2) in to stop
15 Remove assembly wedge (11)
16 Adjust window overlap in relation to outer sealing rail (13)

NOTE: Adjust by moving depth stop (14) The depth stop is adjusted with rear side window (1) closed.

- The trim strip (15) of the web seal (16) for the rear side window should be flush with the outer sealing rail (arrow B). The left and right side windows should be positioned at the same height in the opened position.

17 Open Vario roof fully with the soft top switch

18 Install paneling at upper center pillar
19 Install side paneling in rear
20 Check rear side window for proper function
