Supercharger Coolant Pump: Service and Repair

Remove/Install

DANGER:
- Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.
- Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 degrees C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection.

1 Remove lower engine compartment paneling
2 Drain coolant at radiator
3 Remove front fender liner in right front fender
4 Disconnect connector for charger air cooler circulation pump (4)
5 Unscrew bolt (3) at bracket (1) for charge air cooler circulation pump (M44)
6 Remove bracket (1) for charge air cooler circulation pump (M44)

NOTE: Installation: Insert bracket first of all with retaining lug at top.

7 Detach coolant hoses (2) at charge air cooler circulation pump (M44)

NOTE: Collect coolant of low temperature water cooler in a suitable vessel.

8 Take out charge air cooler circulation pump (M44)
9 Install in the reverse order
10 Inspect cooling system for leaks
