GF82.95-P-3001RM Selecting the Telephone Antenna, Function

GF82.95-P-3001RM Selecting The Telephone Antenna, Function
- with CODE (359) TELE AID emergency call system

Normally, the telephone connections are established via the telephone antenna (A2/22). For all Telematic Alarm Identification on Demand (emergency call system) (TELE AID) functions, the emergency call system control unit (N123/4) must actuate the frequency switchover control unit (N96) via a discrete line in order to establish a connection to the telephone antenna (A2/22). If the standard telephone antenna should happen to malfunction (A2/22), such as due to the a vehicle rollover, there is also a TELE AID backup antenna located in the area of the rear shelf (A2/50).

The emergency call system control unit (N123/4) detects the failure of the telephone antenna and then automatically actuates the TELE AID backup antenna (A2/50).

The frequency switchover control unit (N96) is normally in rest mode, which means that it forwards all telephone signals to the Universal Portable CTEL Interface (UPCI) control unit (N123/1).
