Remove/install Front Axle Differential Propeller Shaft

Shown On Model 203:

DANGER:
- Lethal injuries are possible if vehicle slips off of lifting platform
- Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

1 Raise vehicle.
2 Remove right-hand sensor, downstream of TWC (G3/6)
3 Mark propeller shaft of front axle gear (70) relative to flange of front axle gear and to flange of transfer case
4 Detach propeller shaft of front axle gear (70) from flange of front axle gear

NOTE: Installation: Observe marking

5 Detach propeller shaft of front axle gear (70) from flange of transfer case

NOTE: Installation: Observe marking

6 Take out propeller shaft of front axle gear (70)
7 Check universal joints, replace propeller shaft of front axle gear (70) if necessary
8 Check rubber boot (71) and replace if necessary
- Necessary after checking, Replace rubber boot on front axle gear propeller shaft
9 Install in the reverse order
