Prerequisites For Testing Generator

Connection Diagram Of Battery And Alternator:

1 Check starter, alternator fuse (in wiring harness) (F56)
2 Check if the electric cables of circuit 30 (plus) at the following positions are fixed tightly and are in a proper condition
- Battery (1) of positive lead to battery (G1)
- Positive lead at through plating of front prefuse box (2) (passenger footwell)
- Positive lead at through plating of front prefuse box (3) (Right engine compartment)
- Positive lead (4) to starter (M1)
- Positive lead (5) to alternator (G2)
3 Check if the electric cables of circuit 31 (minus) at the following positions are fixed tightly and are in a proper condition
- Battery (6) ground line to battery (G1)
- Battery (6) ground line to battery control module (N82)
- Battery ground (W10) of battery control module (N82) at body
- Transmission ground line at body (7)
4 Inspect condition of poly V-belt
5 Inspect charge indicator in instrument cluster

NOTE: If charging voltage is correct no fault message is indicated in the display of the instrument cluster.
