Remove/Install Oil Sensor

Shown On Model 230.474:

DANGER:
- Risk of death, Death may result if vehicle slips or topples from the lifting platform.
- Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

1 Remove engine compartment paneling

NOTE: Only rear part.

2 Drain and collect engine oil

NOTE: Oil drain plug to oil pan

3 Disconnect electrical plug socket at oil sensor (oil level, temperature and quality) (B40)
4 Unscrew bolts (40/1)
5 Remove oil sensor (oil level, temperature and quality) (B40)

NOTE: Installation: Replace O-ring.

6 Install in the reverse order.
7 Check engine oil level approx. 5 minutes after switching off the warm engine, if required adjust to correct level

CAUTION: The vehicle must be positioned horizontally on its wheels, otherwise this could lead to a distortion of the measurement result.

NOTE: Model 230: Inquire about engine oil level via the multifunction display, refer to Operating instructions.
