AN82.25-P-1000-01T Install Wiring Harness For Taxi Frame Floor System


Component Identification:






1 The branch-off lines for the left rear door separation point (X35/3) and right rear door separation point (X335/4) must be tied back to the wiring harness for the taxi frame floor system (1).

2 Wrap wiring harness for taxi frame floor system (1) round with felt tape over a length (x) as per the illustration in the area of the branch-off lines for the taximeter (A50), credit card reader and printer (A50/2) and radio data transmission keyboard (A49/5).

3 Route the wiring harness for taxi frame floor system (1) with the branch-off lines for the radio data transmission keyboard (A49/5), rear prefuse box (F33), emergency alarm system cancel button (S62/5), special vehicle multifunction control module (MSS) (N26/9) and ground (right wheelhouse in luggage compartment) (W7) through the exposed cable duct (see arrow in Figure on right) into the luggage compartment.











4 Route the wiring harness for the taxi frame floor system (1) along existing lines up to the rear prefuse box (F33) in the spare wheel recess.







5 Screw on brown line from wiring harness for taxi frame floor system (1) at ground point (right wheelhouse in luggage compartment) (W7).


The branch-off lines with couplings for the emergency alarm system cancel button (S62/5) and special vehicle multifunction control module (MSS) (N26/9) remain on the wheelhouse.







6 Remove rear prefuse box (F33).
7 Insert blue fuse board (54) in plug position 90 and violet fuse board (55) in plug position 91 of the rear prefuse box (F33).
8 Install prefuse box
9 Insert one 30 A fuse each in plug position 90 and 91.







10.1 If the vehicle is not fitted with radio data transmission, the cable branch-off lines for the radio data transmission keyboard (A49/5) must be tied back in the spare wheel recess and fixed in position on the existing wiring harness.


Component Identification:






11 Align wiring harness for taxi frame floor system (1) with blue marking on vehicle's own wiring harness with blue marking, route further on up to the right rear cable duct and fix in position.

It must be ensured that the blue marking aligns with the blue marking of the vehicle's own wiring harness. The markings are at the level of the arrow in the Figure on the right.

12 Put the branch-off line with the couplings for the overhead control panel and right FFS connector (X25/10) and for two-way radio antenna connector (55) to one side for subsequent adaptation.







13 Now align the branch-off lines routed in the luggage compartment with the vehicle's own wiring harness and fix in position.

Proceed with the greatest of care when fixing in position.

14 Route the wiring harness for the taxi frame floor system (1) in the cable duct up to the right footwell and fix in position at three points (see arrows) on existing wiring harnesses.
15 Put the branch-off line with the three couplings for the cockpit wiring harness and FFS connector (X18/35) in the right footwell to one side







16 Connect the 2-pin coupling to the free plug position of the cockpit voltage distributor (CAN) connector (X30/6).

The wiring harness for the taxi frame floor system (1) in the footwell is fixed in position later when the cockpit wiring harness is routed.

17 Connect the brown line of the wiring harness for taxi frame floor system (1) to ground (right footwell) (W15/1) (see magnified section).
18 Disconnect cable holder (53) with wiring harness from stud.
19 Route wiring harness for taxi frame floor system (1) to vehicle's own wiring harness under cable holder (53) and upwards behind the cockpit crossmember.







20 Open the right cable duct (see arrows) and insert wiring harness for taxi frame floor system (1).







21.1 Only on vehicles which do not have any switches in the lower control panel control module (N72)


Component Identification:






An auxiliary cable harness for the lower control panel (2) must be routed from the center console up to the left footwell.
- Connect auxiliary cable harness for lower control panel (2) to the branch-off line for the lower control panel control module (N72) in parallel with the branch-off line for the taximeter (A50) on the wiring harness for the taxi frame floor system (1) (see single arrow on far left).
- The branch-off lines of the auxiliary cable harness for lower control panel (2) for the interior fuse box (F34), the voltage distributor connector CAN (X30/7) and ground connection of left front footwell (W15/2) are connected along the wiring harness for the taxi frame floor system (1) up to the left footwell (see arrows below).


Component Identification:






22 The cable branch-off line for taximeter (A50) of the wiring harness for the taxi frame floor system is routed on the right of the AC box along existing wiring harnesses to the ashtray housing of the center console and is fixed in position.

The cable branch-off line for the lower control panel control module (N72) is, if retrofitted, likewise routed with the cable branch-off line for taximeter (A50) to the shift lever and fixed in position.

23 Route the cable branch-off line for the radio data transmission keyboard (A49/5) and credit card reader and printer (A50/2) of the wiring harness for taxi frame floor system, left of AC box to the vehicle's own wiring harness to the stowage compartment/center armrest compartment and fix in position.

The cable branch-off lines for the credit card reader and printer (A50/2) are routed and fixed in position in the center armrest compartment when installing the center console.







24 Route the wiring harness for the taxi frame floor system (1) as per the illustration between the AC box and cable duct towards the left A-pillar.

The wiring harness for the taxi frame floor system (1) must be routed under the four studs.

25 Wrap felt tape around the four studs of the center wiring duct (see direction arrow of illustration cutout).
26 Fix wiring harness of taxi floor frame system (1) in position at existing clip holder with tie straps (see illustration cutout).

It must be ensured that the wiring harness for the taxi frame floor system (1) cannot contact or chafe on any sharp edges.







27 Open the left cable duct (see arrows), insert the wiring harness for the taxi frame floor system (1) and close again.
28 Fix the wiring harness for the taxi frame floor system (1) in position above the crossmember (see magnified section) with self-adhesive felt strips and further behind the crossmember into the left footwell.







29.1 Contacting of the auxiliary cable harness for the lower control panel (2).

Contacting only takes place if this wiring harness was retrofitted.
- Connect the brown line to the ground (left footwell) (W15/2) (see magnified section below).
- Plug the green fuse board (56) in plug position 39 of the interior fuse box (F34).
- Assign green fuse board (56) with a 5 A fuse.
- Connect 2-pin coupling in the free plug position of the voltage distributor connector CAN (X30/7) (see magnified section above).







The cable branch-off line with connector for the emergency alarm system/activate button connector (X42/8) stays in the left footwell.

30 Expose cable duct to the left front door.

Remove damping material carefully from the A-pillar and reinstall later in the A-pillar.

31 Route the cable branch-off line with white coupling of wiring harness for taxi frame floor system (1) using a suitable aid (vacuum hose) through the cable duct in the left front door.
32 Insert dual coil speaker (4) in the door.







33 Connect the white coupling from the wiring harness for the taxi frame floor system (1) to the white plug of the dual coil speaker (4)
34 Connect the blue connector from the dual coil speaker to the blue plug of the left front door separation point (X35/1).
35 Lock both connectors (see magnified section) together.
36 Fix speaker branch-off line in position by means of tie straps (see arrow)
37 Route cable branch-off line with coupling for roof sign intermediate connector of the wiring harness for the taxi frame floor system (1) from the left of the interior into the driver-side SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1).
38 Remove the left grommet (see magnified section).
39 Remove the vehicle's own wiring harness from the grommet and fasten branch-off line for roof sign intermediate connector to it with felt tape.

Adapt passage of grommet for both wiring harnesses.







40 Seal grommet with sealing profile (see arrow) and reinstall.
41 The free coupling of the wiring harness for the taxi frame floor system (1) is subsequently connected to the roof sign wiring harness (2) and fixed in position.
