Checking and Adjusting Camber and Caster At Front Axle

Checking
1 Observe general information on chassis alignment check
2 Check vehicle level at front and rear axles with electronic clinometer and adjust if necessary
3 Check camber and assign to tabular value
4 Check caster and assign to tabular value
Adjusting
5 Jack up vehicle at front axle
6 Install repair bolt (19c)
NOTE: Screw on nut from repair kit (19b) as far as it will go, but do not tighten it so that the rubber mount on the torque strut or spring link can turn when the suspension is compressed and rebounded.
7 Re-check vehicle level at front axle after adjusting the camber and caster
- The vehicle level must correlate with the dimension established on the initial measurement.
8 Tighten nut from repair kit (19b)
CAUTION: The adjustment bolt must not be turned after fixing. When tightening the nut always counter the hexagon bolt otherwise the locating tabs in the rubber mount on the torque strut or spring link will be sheared off.
9 Check and adjust rear axle toe
10 Adjust front axle toe.
