Model Year 2004 and 2005 with Navigation Navigation Inaccurate
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of the navigation system being inaccurate or malfunctioning intermittently, the combination GPS/telephone antenna may need to be replaced. Perform the below procedure to resolve.
1. Locate the date code on the end of the telephone antenna cable (Figure 1) located behind the right trunk lining.
2. Replace the antenna if the affected GPS antennas are within production dates CW 41/02 and CW 06/03 (Figure 2), or if there is intermittent operation. Intermittent operation may be diagnosed by pushing on the antenna with your thumb causing it to work/not work. (Keep in mind should your hand cover the entire antenna it may cause a GPS signal to not be received.)
3. To replace the antenna, refer to WIS document no. AR82.70-P-8951T.
