Component Identification:

The drive takes place to the planetary gears via the new automatic transmission. The planet carrier is permanently connected to the rear axle with the propeller shaft and drives the rear axle. The sun gear is formed as a hollow shaft and via the helical spur gears drives the propeller shaft to the front axle for the front wheel drive.

A double planetary gear set (8) acts as transfer case (central differential) between the front and rear axle.

The ratio is designed such that 60% of the drive torque is transferred to the rear axle and 40% is transferred to the front axle.
