GF82.30-P-3003Q Windshield Intermittent Wipe, Function
GF82.30-P-3003Q Windshield Intermittent Wipe, Function
Function prerequisites:
^ Circuit 15R ON
Operating procedure
^ The intermittent wipe function is switched on by turning the combination switch (S4) to position "1" (intermittent/rain sensor mode = speed stage 0 to continuous wiping stage 1).
^ The position of the combination switch (S4) is read in by the front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1), which initiates a wipe cycle (if the wipers were already moving, this wipe cycle is first brought to an end).
^ The wiper motor (M6/1) is braked after one wiping process
^ The intermittent pause is started.
^ After expiration, the intermittent pause of the next wiping operation is started.
Interruption of intermittent pause
If another wiper function is requested during an intermittent pause, this function is executed without taking the intermittent pause into consideration. After completion of this function, the intermittent pause is started again.
Intermittent pause
The intermittent pause is dependent on the amount of moisture present on the windshield. For this purpose, the front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1) evaluates the data from the rain/light sensor (B38/2).
Data are not exchanged directly between the front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1) and the rain/light sensor (B38/2). The interface via the CAN-class B is the overhead control panel control module (N70).
In the event of failure of the rain/light sensor (B38/2) the intermittent time is set to approx. 5 seconds. With automatic speed reduction the intermittent time is approx. 7.5 seconds.
