AR35.10-P-0050P Remove/Install Rubber Mount For Center Assembly In Rear Axle







DANGER:
- Risk of fatal accident from vehicle slipping or toppling off the lift platform
- Align vehicle between the columns of lifting platform and position the four support plates below the support strong points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

CAUTION: Installation: Replace self-locking bolts and nuts.

1 Remove road wheels.
2 Remove exhaust system (105) at flange.
- Refer to Removing and installing exhaust system complete.

3 Remove exhaust heat shield (105c)
4 Unscrew retaining bolts from propeller shaft intermediate bearing (106a)
5 Disconnect propeller shaft (106) from rear axle center assembly at flange
- See Disconnect rear propeller shaft from rear axle center assembly.

NOTE:
- The flexible coupling remains on the propeller shaft.
- Tie propeller shaft as high as possible using wire.
- If the flexible coupling cannot be removed from the propeller shaft flange: release the guide sleeves on
- Installation: Refer to Connecting rear propeller shaft to rear axle center assembly

6 Remove torsion bar (6)

NOTE: Torsion bar connecting rods remain on wheel carriers.

7 Support rear axle center assembly

NOTE: Secure against falling.

8 Unscrew hexagon socket bolt of front center assembly suspension
- See Install front center section mount.

9 Unscrew hexagon socket bolts of rear center assembly suspension

10 Lower rear axle center assembly

NOTE:
- Do not kink rear axle shafts too much.
- Lower rear axle center assembly until the rubber mounts are accessible.

11 Remove rear rubber mount of rear axle center assembly suspension
12 Install in the reverse order
