Remove/install Track Rod, Replace Rubber Mount







Work Instructions

DANGER:
- Risk of fatal accident from vehicle slipping or toppling off the lift platform
- Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

CAUTION: Installation: replace self-locking bolts and nuts.

NOTE: Check rear axle tracking and adjust if necessary

4 Tie rod

CAUTION: Do not damage rubber sleeve when removing.

NOTE:
- When tightening nuts of track rod at rear axle carrier, move rear axle shaft to approximately horizontal position.
- Clean grease off ball head bolt and beveled seat in wheel carrier.
- Press ball head bolt into cone, hold with Allen wrench if necessary

4a Cam bolt, eccentric disk

NOTE: Installed position: Mark eccentric disk relative to rear axle carrier (arrow)

4B Rubber mount on track rod
- If necessary after checking: Remove and install rubber mount on track rod.
6k Torsion bar connecting rod, remove, install
