Removal and Replacement

Remove/install Power Steering Pump

Shown On Engine 112:

1 Remove poly-V-belt (130)
2 Remove left air intake hose
3 Suction off oil from supply reservoir (30a) of power steering pump (30)
4 Dismount return line (30f) at supply reservoir (30a)

NOTE: Seal connection

5 Unscrew the high-pressure expansion hose (30i) from the power-steering pump (30)

NOTE: Installation: Install new sealing rings.

6 Dismount bolt from supply reservoir (30a)
7 Detach rear ground cable at power steering pump (30)
8 Disconnect power steering pump (30) and move forwards out of reservoir guiding rail

NOTE: Installation: Long rear bolts short front bolts (2 each)

9 Remove reservoir (30a) by pressing out locking ring (30c) using a suitable screwdriver

NOTE:
- The supply reservoir (30a) can also be removed on the installed power steering pump (30)
- Installation: Check sealing ring (30b) and replace if necessary Check circlip (30c) for correct seating

10 Install in the reverse order
11 Filling and bleeding power steering pump
