System concept of information service
The user determines his own profile of interests in service information (e.g. world news, stock exchange data etc.) and transmits this desired information to Mercedes-Benz Customer Service. This profile is passed on to the Service Operating Center (SOC) as it is known.
The user has the option of transmitting an update request for Service Information to the SOC via the "SVC" button (to the COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3))

In the SOC this user profile is used to select information. The desired information is compiled via the information provider and conveyed to the vehicle via the SOC. The data conveyed are shown in the display of the COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3).
