GF82.95-P-2003QJ Emergency Call Actuation, Function
- with CODE (349) E Call emergency call system
- with CODE (498) Japanese version
An emergency call can be triggered manually or automatically.
Manually:
^ with the aid of the SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3). For diagnosis purposes; by hand using the handheld tester and/or the DAS
Automatically:
^ via the restraint systems control module (N2/7) in an airbag deployment or in the event of severe rear end collision.
^ when the tilting cone sensor (B66) in the E-call control module (A35/8) records a roll-over.
Voice connection
After a call between the accident participant and the rescue headquarters (police, fire department, etc.) has been terminated, the voice connection to the accident participant is maintained by an employee of the E-call Center. It can only be terminated by the person involved in the accident himself
Emergency call priority
The information in which manner the emergency call was actuated is entered into the emergency call telegram generated by the E- call control module (A35/8).
The types of actuation have various priorities:
Highest priority: Automatic emergency call
Lowest priority: Manual emergency call with SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3)
If an emergency call of higher priority is already active when an emergency call is triggered, this call is terminated. The emergency call with lower priority is not started.
If an emergency call with lower priority is active when actuating a call, this call is interrupted and an emergency call with higher priority is started.
