Replace Brake Fluid
Work instructions
DANGER:
- Risk of poisoning from swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury from brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes.
- Pour brake fluid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.

1 Note fluid level of brake fluid reservoir (10).
2 Unscrew cap (11).
3 Empty chambers in brake fluid reservoir down to a fluid level of approx. 10 mm.
NOTE: Do not empty reservoir completely.
- Replace brake fluid with filler and bleeder unit.
4 Connect filler and bleeder unit according to manufacturer's instructions.
5 On vehicles with manual transmission allow approx. 80 cubic cm of brake fluid to flow out of each wheel brake and clutch slave cylinder.
NOTE: Clear brake fluid free of bubbles must flow out of the bleed hose.
- Replace brake fluid without filler and bleeder unit.
6 Without filling and bleeder unit: Fill expansion reservoir (10) with brake fluid up to the "MAX" mark.
7 At each wheel brake and at the clutch slave cylinder, pump out the old brake fluid with 10 strokes of the pump each.
NOTE:
- Fill reservoir with new brake fluid
- Clear brake fluid free of bubbles must flow out of the bleed hose. Do not empty reservoir completely.
8 Disconnect filler and bleeder unit.
9 Correct fluid level in brake fluid reservoir.
NOTE:
- Note and maintain fluid level of brake fluid reservoir.
- Fill reservoir with new brake fluid
10 Screw on cap (11).
