The measuring set g' 168 589 07 63 00 is designed in such a way, that the measuring bolts, according to the measuring points at the vehicle, can be screwed together out of mounting bolts, extensions and measuring tips.

The configuration of the measuring bolts is shown in the table, where the numbers in the column headed "Measuring bolt configuration" are the special tool end numbers.
For example: 02/06/10 = 168 589 07 63 02 (Mounting bolt) 168 589 07 63 06 (extension) 168 589 07 63 10 (measuring tip)

Component Identification:

1 Measure comparison dimension (H1)

Measured from the check bore (K) to the tie rod support on the wheel carrier left to right.

Component Identification:

2 Measure comparison dimension (H2)

Measured from the check bore "K" to the center of the Torx(R) bolt head of the front bearing of the rear axle carrier left to right. Unscrew, screw in Torx(R) bolts if necessary, check for distortion.

Measured from the check bore "K" to the center of the Torx(R) bolt head of the front bearing of the rear axle carrier left to right. Unscrew, screw in Torx(R) bolts if necessary, check for distortion.

Distance dimension measured to the center of the Torx(R) bolt heads between the front bearings of the rear axle carrier.

Distance dimension measured to the center of the Torx(R) bolt heads between the rear bearings of the rear axle carrier.

6 Measure distance dimension (H8)

Measured to the center of the Torx(R) bolt heads between the front and rear bearing of the rear axle carrier.

7 Measure distance dimension (H9)

Measured diagonally to the center of the Torx(R) bolt heads between the front left and rear right bearing of the rear axle carrier.
