GF83.70-P-3057Q Activate Heater Immediately With Radio Remote Control, Function
- with CODE (228) Stationary heater [models 209.3 as 1.6.04]

Component Identification:

The range of the STH radio remote control transmitter (A8/3) is approx. 300 m. External influences such as:
^ interfering radio sources,
^ large obstructions,
^ unfavorable position to the vehicle or
^ transmitting from closed rooms
will reduce the effective range

Function requirements
^ Circuit 30
^ Tank content > 19 %

Function
1. Operate "ON" button at STH radio remote control transmitter (A8/3).

2. The telephone antenna (A2/22) (up to 31.5.06) or the telephone antenna (A2/49a1) (as of 1.6.06) registers the cut-in signal and forwards it via the telephone/STH radio remote control antenna splitter (A2/53) to the STH radio remote control receiver (A6/1).

On vehicles as of 1.12.04 the correct reception of the cutin signal by the STH radio remote control receiver (A6/1) is confirmed on the STH radio remote control transmitter (A8/3). If the radio connection is OK, the LED illuminates with a steady green light for 2 seconds after the time of signal transmission. If the radio connection is not OK, the LED flashes green for 2 seconds.

3. The STH radio remote control receiver (A6/1) transmits the cut-in signal to the STH control unit (A6n1).

4. The STH control unit (A6n1) starts the "Heat or Ventilate" inquiry in the AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22) or the comfort AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22/7).

5. The AAC control and operating unit (N22) or the comfort AAC (C-AAC) control and operating unit (N22/7) is activated and compares the current interior temperature to the preset temperature value.

6.1 Interior temperature less than the preset temperature value ("Heat" requirement): The AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22) or the comfort AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22/7) transmits the signal "Heat" to the STH control unit (A6n1).

^ The AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22) or the comfort AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22/7) transmits the signal "Heat" to the STH control unit (A6n1).

6.2 Interior temperature greater than the preset temperature value ("Stationary ventilation" requirement):

^ The AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22) or the comfort AAC [KLA] control and operating unit (N22/7) transmits the signal "Ventilate" to the STH control unit (A6n1).

The red LED in the STH switch (N72s12) indicates stationary heating and the blue LED indicates stationary ventilation.
