Remove/Install Belt Pulley/Vibration Damper

Shown On Engine 112:

1 Remove engine compartment paneling
2 Remove front air filter cover or engine hood
3 Remove viscous fan (1)

NOTE: Right-hand thread!

4 Fan shroud (3)
5 Remove poly V-belt (2)
6 Unscrew central bolt (4)

NOTE: Installation: Measure length of center bolt (bolt head contact surface to end of shank). Bolt may be used up to max. shank length of 78 mm.

7 Take off vibration damper (5)

NOTE:
- Installation: Oil thread of center bolt.
- Location of vibration damper.
- Installation: A particular installation position is given through the parallel key!

8 Install in the reverse order.
9 Check oil viscosity after performing engine test run.
