AR83.25-P-1170Q Remove/Install/Replace Coolant Circulation Pump
with CODE (670a) Residual engine heat utilization (REST)
with CODE (874) Coolant circulation pump
with CODE (580a) Automatic air conditioning
with CODE (581b) Convenience automatic air conditioning
with CODE (228) Stationary heater

DANGER:
- Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant
- Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 degrees C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles.
- Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection.
- Risk of explosion from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries
- No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking.
- Wear protective gloves acid-resistant clothing and safety glasses Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.


1 Disconnect ground cable of battery
2 Open engine hood
3 Relieve pressure in cooling system
4 Detach lower engine compartment paneling

NOTE: Front paneling

5 Drain coolant from radiator
6 Disconnect coupling (1)

NOTE: Disconnect connector (1) from heating water circulation pump (M13).

7 Detach hose clamps (2)
- Hose clamp pliers (length 210 mm; adjustment range 80 mm)

8 Remove heating water circulation pump (M13) from coolant expansion
9 Remove heating hoses (3)
10 Install in the reverse order
11 Adjust coolant to correct level

DANGER:
- Risk of accident as vehicle may start off by itself with the engine running. Risk of injury as working around the engine during startup or while running may result in contusions and burns
- Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving off by itself.
- Wear closed and close-fitting work clothes. Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.


12 Start engine
13 Perform leak check
14 Perform basic programming.
