Tilting/Sliding Roof Makes Noises / Not Functioning Properly
If you receive customer reports that the tilting/sliding roof makes noise or is not functioning properly, this may be due to missing screws that fasten the sliding roof frame in place. There is one cable on each side of the vehicle which is level with the locking lugs. These cables may protrude and can lead to the glass roof pulling to one side. To resolve, install one screw per the below steps (Figure 1 and 2, circles) on each side to correct.
1. Remove all fasteners on interior headliner per WIS document AR68.30-P-4300Q and lower headliner. Do not remove headliner.
2. Install one screw on each side in the middle position (Figure 1 & 2, circles). Tightening torque is 7 Nm +2 Nm.
3. Renormalize the tilting/sliding roof.
4. Reinstall headliner per WIS document AR68.30-P-4300Q.
