DANGER!
Risk of explosion from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries
- No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking.
- Wear protective gloves, acid-resistant clothing and safety glasses. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

1 Disconnect ground lead of battery
2 Remove mirror triangle together with loudspeaker.
3 Disconnect from left electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror connector (M21/1x1) and right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror connector (M21/2x1)
4 Unscrew screws (1)
- Rearview mirror on front door = 2.5 Nm
5 Remove left electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/1x1) and right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/2x1)
6 Install in the reverse order
7 Clean mirror glass on both sides.
8 Perform basic programming
9 Read diagnostic trouble code memory and erase
10 Check for proper function
