Component Identification:

1 Crimp the two connecting lines of the wiring harness of the illuminated door sill molding (6) into the cable lug (20) and then put in the fuse holder (21).







2 Connect wiring harness (6) with fuse holder (21) to a free plug position (arrow) at the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
3 Fit fuse holder 21 with a 7.5 A fuse.







4 Route wiring harness (6) along existing lines in trunk as shown in figure.







5 Connect brown ground line to ground connection (arrow).







6 Route branch-off line for the illuminated door sill molding in the cable duct on right and left driver door.
7 Slip on inverter (3) and insert in the cable duct.







8 Set door sill molding line with adhesive tape (arrows) below the door sill molding as shown in figure.







9 Put the appropriate door sill molding to each door concerned and drill a � 6 mm hole (arrow) into the weatherstrip fold of the rocker panel at the level of the appropriate line terminal and varnish.

Drill hole as close to the lower weatherstrip fold as possible.







10 Clip in illuminated door sill molding and route the connecting line (11) through the drilled hole.

To do this, pin out connecting line (11).

11 Insert 2 pins of the connecting line (11) into a connection coupling housing (4) and connect to wiring harness (6).







12 At each door concerned connect the two-color line of the door contact to attached clamp joint at the identically colored branch-off line of the wiring harness (6).
